Volunteering Opportunities
Doing What We Can Homeless Outreach is a 100% volunteer-staffed nonprofit organization. Community volunteers are, literally, the backbone of our ongoing efforts to provide Christ-centered benevolence services to the homeless of Chattanooga.
We are always looking for individuals who want to get involved in helping us make a difference in our local homeless community. We need volunteers to help us shoulder the work across many areas, such as:
- Prepare and serve meals at our Brainerd Road Operations Center
- Process incoming donations
- Provide good old-fashioned cleaning services
- Assemble blessing and supply bags
- Assist us with our social media
- Act as community ambassadors helping us to spread the word about DWWCHO
- Supervise our clothing distribution activities
- Fundraising
- Assist with general office work tasks
- Working our monthly Meet-up events
- and much, much more!!
Our volunteers serve on a scheduled weekly or monthly basis, as if they were working a regular part-time job.
